Tryout information for 2023-24 club season information below.

Prior to tryouts, join the #FreezeFamily for open gym. Get to meet the coaches, get comfortable, and get practice ahead of tryouts.

When?

Cost/registration? No need to pre-register. Just show up. Bring $5.00 per athlete (cash only) and the waiver (below).

Login or create a new account (PARENTS: make sure to create a Junior Member account for your child, NOT an adult account for yourself).
Click on ‘Tryouts’ on the left hand side of your screen.
Click ‘Register for Tryout’
Tryout Location: select ‘Minnesota’
Club Name: select ‘Minnesota Freeze Volleyball Club’
Tryout Description: select 'Freeze Tryouts 2023 14s and Under' OR 'Freeze Tryout 2023 15s and Up' based on where you land on the age definition chart.
Click the ‘Save’ button
Click the ‘Payment’ button and pay online via Paypal.
When you have finished registering and paying, print out the Tryout Registration Form and bring it with you.
You do not need to bring any other paperwork with you!

U15-18:

$25 for players who registered and paid on-line before the day of the tryout.
$45 (cash or check only) for players who register day of or who did not pay before the day of the tryout.

***Tryout fees are non-refundable.

Check-in:

Players should register for tryouts online before tryouts.
Players should arrive at 9:00am for check-in.
Players will need to dress in proper volleyball attire and bring a labeled water bottle.

Skill evaluation and selection process:

Tryouts will start promptly at 9:30am.
Our coaching staff will evaluate the players and a variety of factors will be considered including: core volleyball skills, potential, work ethic, attitude, coach-ability and more.
Our 12s players will complete their tryout first around 10:30am and will be asked to join their parents in the cafeteria area. At this time our 12s will sign a binding letter of commitment, complete additional paperwork, pay a $750.00 deposit and participate in a pre-season meeting.
By 12:00pm, all of our other players that have been selected for the Freeze 2022/2023 JO program will be asked to join their parents in the cafeteria area (teams will not be announced until after a series of evaluation practices). At this time you will sign a binding letter of commitment, complete additional paperwork, pay a $750.00 deposit and participate in a pre-season meeting.
