Our coaches are the heart of Freeze. They bring deep knowledge of the game, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to developing athletes as both players and people.
At Freeze Volleyball, we believe in accountability, curiosity, and continuous growth on and off the court. Our coaching culture is rooted in trust, clear communication, and a love for the process, creating an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their potential.

Director & Setting Coach
Teryn Glenn
Teryn is the Club Director and Setting Coach for Minnesota Freeze Volleyball Club. She brings decades of coaching experience, including many years as an elite club coach and 14 years as a varsity high school coach.
Teryn is passionate about creating a positive, energetic gym where athletes feel challenged, supported, and excited to compete. She believes the strongest players are built on exceptional fundamentals and emphasizes high-level technical training paired with fast-paced, competitive drills that make learning fun.
Above all, Teryn believes volleyball is an opportunity to build confident, resilient young people. She wants every athlete to know they are valued as a person first, and that while volleyball is an important part of who they are, it does not define them.
Fun fact: Teryn's background is in elementary education and she even spent a short time as a veterinary technician. She also owns a photography business! When she's not in the gym, she loves traveling with her family, going on adventures, and finding a great cup of coffee.

Assistant Director & 13s/15s Coach
Mary Stude
Mary brings many decades of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and club levels. She has also spent over 40 years as an elementary and middle school teacher, bringing a strong mentorship mindset into the gym.
Her coaching philosophy centers around growth, teamwork, confidence, and creating a competitive but positive environment where athletes feel supported both on and off the court. She believes in building strong relationships, developing each athlete’s individual skills, and helping players grow socially, physically, and academically.

14s / 16s Coach
Laura Lane
Laura brings a strong volleyball background with 9 years of coaching club experience, 6 years at Marshall High School, and 4 years playing D1 at Iowa State University. Laura is passionate about athlete development and creating a competitive, positive environment for her teams.
Fun fact: you can always find fruity candy and a sparkling water in her coaching bag.

15s Coach
Jeff Rasmussen
Jeff is entering his 4th season coaching club volleyball and is passionate about helping athletes better understand the game. He loves seeing the moment when players connect the “how” and “why” behind a skill and gain confidence on the court. Jeff brings a thoughtful, prepared coaching style and is committed to creating a positive environment where athletes feel supported to grow.

Amanda Gans
Amanda has 7 years of club volleyball coaching experience and is passionate about building confident athletes and positive team culture. She brings 7 years of club playing experience and competed in the MN state tournament in high school. Her coaching philosophy centers around positive reinforcement, teamwork, and helping athletes develop both their voice and character through the game.
Fun fact: As a yoga instructor and holistic health enthusiast, Amanda enjoys teaching athletes how to fuel, care for, and support their bodies both on and off the court.

Tori Fuller
With 10 years of playing experience, Tori continues to compete in volleyball tournaments and leagues across the country. She is entering her 4th year of coaching and is passionate about helping athletes grow their confidence and volleyball skills.
Fun Fact: She's originally from New Hampshire and became a real estate agent at just 18 years old.

Stephanie Elliott
Stephanie played 3 years of club volleyball in high school, 3 years at Appleton East High School, and continued playing club volleyball at University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has 1 year of coaching experience with Freeze as a head coach. Stephanie focuses on helping each athlete accomplish their individual goals while building confidence, communication, and a strong team environment.
Fun fact: She was previously on the USA National Luge Team.

Kelli Abar
Kelli brings over 15 years of volleyball coaching experience at the middle school and high school levels, along with 2 years of collegiate playing experience. Her coaching background also includes basketball and track, giving her a well-rounded approach to athlete development. She's passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the court through confidence, competition, and positive team culture.

Fun fact: Outside of volleyball, Kelli enjoys traveling, concerts, golf, and staying active at Orangetheory Fitness.

Meg Stenzel
Meg has 6 years of experience playing cub volleyball along with 4 varsity seasons at Washburn High School. Kate is passionate about creating a positive experience for athletes and helping players grow their love for the game.
Fun Fact: Outside of volleyball, she enjoys baking, reading, working out, and trying new restaurants with friends.

Kate Stenzel
Kate has 7 years of playing experience, including 6 years at Washburn High School, where she served as Varsity captain for 2 years. She is excited to stay connected to the sport while helping athletes grow their skills on the court.
Fun Fact:, Kate is attending the U of MN to study nursing. Outside of volleyball, she enjoys crafting, baking, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Liv Peterson
Liv has 2 years of coaching experience and 6 years of playing experience. She served as Varsity captain for 2 years at Edina High School. Liv is passionate about creating a positive environment for athletes to grow their skills and confidence.
Fun Fact: Outside of volleyball, she loves anything artsy and creative.

14s Coach
Kamrynn Manahan
Kamrynn has played volleyball for 7 years, including club volleyball and High School This season marks her first year coaching club volleyball, allowing her to stay connected to the sport she loves following a lower back injury.
Fun Fact: Outside of volleyball, she enjoys baking and trying a new recipe every week.
