Have you participated in volleyball camps or clinics and are looking to do more? Maybe you want to be part of a team but aren’t quite ready for the commitment of a club team? If so, our Freeze Youth Development Teams (YDT) are the perfect fit for you!

Our YDT program offers a balanced approach to volleyball, providing weekly practices and weekend gameplay with a lighter schedule. It’s designed for players who want to continue developing their skills while maintaining flexibility with other commitments.

We offer two options:

  • Freeze Youth Fall League (grades 1-6): Runs from September through mid-October, offering Wednesday night practices and in-house gameplay on Saturdays mornings.

  • Freeze Youth Winter/Spring League (grades 4-6): Runs from February through April, offering weekly Thursday night practices and three weekend tournaments at Midwest Volleyball Warehouse.

What sets our YDT program apart is the use of our experienced coaching staff, ensuring quality instruction and development for every player. We do not rely on parent volunteers, so your athlete will receive professional guidance throughout their time in the program.

With Freeze leagues, you can play when it works best for you, while continuing to grow your skills and love for the game!

*We do not have tryouts for our Youth Development Teams. All you have to do is register. We utilize our first practices to create teams.

The Freeze Volleyball Club season offers an unparalleled opportunity for athletes to develop their skills and compete at the highest levels. Running from November through April to June, depending on the team and level, our club teams are designed to provide a structured, competitive environment for players seeking to take their game to the next level.

Tryouts for 14s and under are held on the last Sunday in October, while tryouts for 15s and up take place on the Sunday following the state tournament in November. To ensure the best fit for each player, we offer three distinct levels of competition:

Elite Teams: For athletes ready to compete at the highest level with a more rigorous training and competition schedule. Elite teams will travel more frequently and participate in larger tournaments, including Nationals in June.

Aspire Teams: A great option for those looking to further their skills and compete with a slightly more balanced schedule. Aspire teams travel less, with 1-2 travel tournaments within the Midwest, providing a competitive experience without extensive travel commitments.

Developmental Teams: Designed for players who are continuing to build their skills while gaining valuable team experience. Developmental teams do not travel outside of Minnesota. 12U teams are usually developmental teams.

With these tailored options, Freeze provides the flexibility and focus needed to help every athlete reach their full potential.
