Join us for Freeze Volleyball Girls Club Tryouts!

12s-14s tryouts: Sunday, October 27 at 9am
15s-18s tryouts: Sunday, November 10 at 9am

All tryouts will take place at H4 Sports Academy in Edina (formerly Athletic Gaines).

NEW: This year, we are excited to offer a no-cut policy for 12s-14s players, ensuring every athlete will be placed on either a club team or directed to one of our Youth Development Teams (YDT). If registration numbers are high, we may need to close registration once we reach our maximum capacity, so be sure to sign up early to secure your spot at tryouts!

Additionally, all teams—12s through 18s—will be announced on the day of tryouts to provide immediate clarity for families and players.

Age Divisions

10 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2014

11 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2013

12 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2012

13 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2011

14 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2010

15 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2009

16 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2008

17 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2007

18 and Under : Born on or after July 1, 2006 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 AND a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year.

Tryout Agenda

Check-in: Begins at 9:00am.

Tryouts Start: Promptly at 9:30am.

During tryouts, our coaches will evaluate players based on skills, position, work ethic, attitude, and more to form teams. Elite teams will be selected first, followed by aspire and developmental teams.

Since all teams will be finalized on the day of tryouts (new this year), the process may take longer. Players are encouraged to bring a snack or small meal, along with a water bottle, to stay energized throughout the day.

Once placed on a team, you will be required to sign binding paperwork, committing to Freeze for the 2024-2025 club season, and make a $1,000 payment toward your team fee.

Team Practice Start Dates

All Freeze club teams will begin practices the week of November 10, 2024. You will receive an email with your specific team's practice time shortly after tryouts. While we aim to maintain a consistent practice schedule, we may need to adjust a team's regular schedule to accommodate specific situations, such as creating opportunities for teams to scrimmage against appropriate competition.

Team Fee Payments

When your daughter is placed on a team, the full team fee is required, even if she quits, misses practices or tournaments, or becomes injured. This is because your payments secure her spot on the roster and cover both team-wide expenses and her individual costs. While we understand that circumstances can change, team expenses remain constant—and can even increase as we utilize resources to find backup players and adjust rosters. $1,000.00 is due on tryout day if your daughter commits to Freeze Volleyball. Checks are preferred. A 4% convenience fee will be added to any credit card/Venmo transactions. After the initial $1,000.00 payment at tryouts, you will set up an automatic online payment plan on our website, with all fees to be completed by February, 2025.

Pre-Season Meeting

As the season begins, we require at least one parent/guardian and every player to attend a pre-season meeting. Important information about the upcoming season will be covered. Details regarding the date and time will be sent out following tryouts. We look forward to seeing you there!
